Younger Members Section
Young Professional (YPs) are the future of our Institution. Younger Members Section (YMS), which was established in 1991, is the first young professional network of the IET outside the United Kingdom to organise various types of professional and career development activities to ensure YPs are supported throughout their career. The nowadays YMS has continued contributing the IET three i’s (to inspire, inform, and influence) to YPs’ and students’ communities in Hong Kong and Macau, by annually organising over 60 technical and lifeskills events, reaching thousands participants. YMS also assists the IET and its Hong Kong branch in supporting international conferences, promoting STEM education to students, and enhancing social status of professional engineers in Hong Kong.

Young Professionals Exhibition & Competition (YPEC)
an annual engineering project presentation competition. YPEC aims to act as a dynamic platform for young professionals from different segments to exhibit their engineering and technology innovation in project presentations and booths. Future Engineers Project (FEP)

Youth Community Services
a programme leading young engineers with various engineering background to give back to the community by applying professional know-how and skills in volunteerism. Young engineers will corporate with NGOs and other organizations to be actively involved in community activities that contribute to social development.
Young Professionals Programme (YPP)
an elite programme to local young engineers. Young Professionals (YP) have the chance to interact with managements from the IET Hong Kong committees and learn useful management skills through trainings and implementation of a team project for the community.
